Version 2.2 — Released 03 June 2007:
New Features
General Changes
Bug Fixes
- Saving the current screen as a Preset now allows replacing an existing preset, in addition to creating a new preset.
- Presets may now optionally change the state of Gang Sliders and Maintain Relative Values. These settings may optionally be saved in and read from Presets Files.
- Edit Presets Window allows changing various Preset values, such as color and gang sliders options. Preset colors may also be defined via the standard Color Picker dialog.
- Mac: Pro Feature: Added Preset Sets. Preset Sets are useful when you have more than one display, and you want to set each display to a different gamma setting with a single command. A single Preset Set may control up to six displays.
- Define Preset Sets as follows:
- Select Edit Preset Sets... from the Edit menu; or
- Select Edit Preset Sets... from any Control Window’s Presets: pop-up menu; or
- Select Edit Preset Sets... from the system-wide menu’s Presets submenu; or
- Press COMMAND + SHIFT + E
- Select Preset Sets as follows:
- Select the desired set from any Control Window’s Presets pop-up menu, or
- Select the desired set from the system-wide menu’s "Preset Sets" submenu.
- You may assign hotkeys to any Preset Set.
- Mac: Pro Feature: Add Preference Show Control Windows when DarkAdapted Activates. When enabled, any hidden Control Windows are shown when you return to DarkAdapted from another application.
- Mac: Pro Feature: Added Run AppleScript command to the System-wide Menu.
- This will run any AppleScript (saved as a script with the .scpt extension) that is placed in a folder named “AppleScripts” in the same folder as DarkAdapted.
- You may define hotkeys to execute AppleScripts controlling DarkAdapted and other applications. The Run AppleScript menu updates dynamically, whenever a change is made in the AppleScripts folder.
- Mac: Pro Feature: A minimum allowable brightness may now be selected in the Preferences Window, which enforces a minimum brightness total of all three sliders’ raw (0–255) values. This is useful in preventing unreadable screen situations. A minimum brightness setting of between 0 and 400 may be defined.
- Updated and revised documentation, which is now included with the download. Added index to User Guide.
- Mac: Register DarkAdapted Pro... menu item changes text to DarkAdapted Pro is Registered once it is registered.
- Updated help tags throughout program.
- Edit Presets Window: Redesigned window, adding explanatory text.
- Internet Update: Now more reliably checks whether an active internet connection exists.
- Added additional error checking to Control Displays Independently command.
- Edit Presets Window: The Save Presets and Load Presets file dialogs now appear on the same screen as their parent Edit Presets Window.
- Improved behavior of Screen Brightness Hotkeys, so that they no longer fail to move the gamma sliders in unison when certain hotkeys are selected.
